EOC Week 1: My Voice

I am a professional in the field that specializes in Audio. Ever since I was little I had this insane fascination with sound. When I was just three years old I was already playing piano however; it wasn't until I was eleven that my parents finally enrolled me into music lessons. After working with my teacher for little over a year she took me into her friends professional recording studio to record me playing a song. As one could expect it was like being a kid in a candy shop! Ever since then the recording arts and sound have been my passion. I not only want to be one of the best recording engineers in the industry I want to be one of the most versatile. I also find myself infatuated with film, both audio and visual aspects. After watching one of DreamWorks' greatest achievements, Transformers (2007), who wouldn't be hypnotized into the world of sound and motion graphics. Whether its Picture Editing, Sound Editing, Sound Design, ADR, or Foley you name it I love it. I work hard on things I believe in and never give up when things seem impossible. "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why."

EOC Week 1: Great Customer Service

Sweetwater is a professional audio equipment distributor. As far as I know they only operate online; however they have an amazing crew of talented and knowledgeable sales representatives readily available by phone. When I order something online I want to be ensured it is exactly what I need for the job at hand and not have wasted my time. Every so often Sweetwater will run out of stock of certain high demand items; for example a popular boom pole by RODE. I had ordered several items for a new production I was doing and needed the items quickly. Sweetwater was out of this specific boom pole, even though on their website it still said "In Stock." When I listened to the voice mail the left me while I was at work I was livid to say the least. When I called I told them they need to keep their website up to date and not inconvenience their customers like this. The customer service representative understood my urgent needs and got me a better quality boom pole with express shipping. I was thoroughly impressed and very happy with the customer service I received from them. They reassured me that problem should not occur again. Even though I do sometimes order off of B&H, Sweetwater is still my go to website because I know I can trust what them to supply me with not only superior quality but superior service.
